Ratio Estimation Between Water and Bubble Using Voltage Current System

ABSTRACT:

In single phase flow, the influx of other substances frequently occurs and it causes trouble in controlling the system. Therefore, method is necessary to check the influx of foreign material for preventing accident and performance decline. In this paper, voltage-current system which applies voltage and measures current is used to detect influx of other material in single phase flow. Measured current data is normalized with reference data measured from homogeneous case for analyzing the condition inside pipe. In the numerical simulation, finite element method (FEM) is used to calculate currents data based on the applied voltage and internal conductivity distribution. Simulation result show that ratio between two materials can be estimated by confirming the normalized current data
