Software for EVT4 Electrical Capacitance Tomograph

Progress in the development of the software for EVT4 multi-channel electrical capacitance tomograph is presented. The EVT4 data acquisition system has modular architecture based on distributed control logic and multi-gigabit transmission. The system housed in 19” Euro crate consists of analogue measurement boards, data read-out boards and a control board (crate controller). The embedded software for read-out boards and control board written in VHDL and PicoBlaze assembler is presented. The software for ARM Cortex-A8 processor, the Linux character driver and the server daemon written in C language is discussed. The communication between system boards and the communication between a data acquisition system and a host computer is described. Software for a host computer was designed using Windows Forms library and C++/CLI language.
