Visualisation of the gravitational flow in thick large-scale silo based on limited ECT raw data

Abstract
In the paper authors present application of the ECT measurements system for the visualisation of the material distribution during the silo discharging process. In some cases it is not possible to directly apply the ECT measurement methodology to the large-scale silo flow monitoring because of substantial container size. Proposed ECT sensor consist of 12 electrodes located in 3 rows allow to monitor process state in the specific part of silo. 3D visualisation of the material distribution is conducted based on the capacitance measurements between only chosen pairs of electrodes, excluding from processing insignificant the capacitance values of the considered measurement vectors.
